Life with Liv & Rory

  • Glamping in Forks, WA

Whether you are team Edward or team Jacob, or even neither, there is tons to do around Forks, Washington! Rainforests, beaches, lakes, hiking, and more. Here's what we did on our weekend of "glamping" and the most popular places to visit in the area!
  • A Weekend in Victoria, British Columbia

Canada is so close to us that it's a must do during your station at Joint Base Lewis Mcchord! Victoria is the capital of Vancouver and this waterfront city has charm, history, and lots to explore! We choose to do a Friday to Sunday weekend trip but if you only have a small amount of time you could go over for the day.
  • Weekending in Seattle

Seattle is easily recognized by the Space Needle but there is so much more to the city than that! We live just 45 minutes from the city so we are able to visit often. Whether you're going for the weekend or just a day, here's some things we love to do!
  • Sundays are for Lake Union in Seattle

Lake Union is so gorgeous on a sunny day. It's an oasis on the outskirts of the city. Sunday is the best day to visit and take advantage of the th...
  • Hiking Twin Falls & Weeks Falls

These waterfalls are located about an hour and fifteen minutes from JBLM. You can hit both on the same day since the trails are about ten minutes apart. You will need a Discover Pass. This pass is $30 for the year, $10 for a day pass, OR you can check it out for free at your local library.
  • Macleay Park Hike to "Witches Castle"

If you are looking for a short hike that is dog and kid friendly with great views, this is for you! Macleay Park is a beautiful lush trail right outside of the city in Portland.
  • Pike Place Market in Seattle

I'm pretty sure Pikes Place Market is listed as the most popular place to visit on all the travel websites, and we visited three times in one weekend! There is so much to see (and taste) in the market. There is quite a bit of history around it too.
  • Spring in South Lake Tahoe

I'm not sure I would consider Spring a season in South Lake Tahoe. I think it should be called second winter because dang it was freezing. I'm talking beginning of April when flowers are suppose to be blooming and it was in the thirties. I guess that's why they have a ski resort. So basically, make sure you dress for winter when you visit, if it's not dead summer. South Lake Tahoe is absolutely breathtaking. The views and the cold wind.
  • What Happens in Vegas....

Stays in Vegas. Just kidding, we didn't get crazy. Las Vegas isn't like The Hangover, really. Call it what you want, sin city, it's an awesome and fun city to explore with lots to do. I could list a thousand places to see and eat in Las Vegas, because there's literally that many things. If you ask a local thier favorite spot they will say they don't know, because everywhere is good.
  • Exploring the Grand Canyon South Rim

"We must take adventures to discover where we truly belong". I have never seen something nature made that is as beautiful as the Grand Canyon. Out of all the places I've traveled, there isn't anything else even comparable to the ambiance and uniqueness of it.
  • Visiting Waco, Texas

Waco. Hmm.....what is Waco, Texas famous for again? Two words: Fixer Upper. Chip and Joanna Gaines put Waco on the map when thier show hit HGTV. The show has since ended but thier empire now includes a store, a bakery, a restaurant, and an entire decorating style.
  • Family Fun in Albuquerque, NM

New Mexico, also known as the "Land of Enchantment", is most definitely the most interesting place we have ever lived. It is rich with a culture we...
